Here's one creative way to get to the USVI. You may consider booking your travel into the San Juan Puerto Rico airport (SJU). Tickets to San Juan are traditionally much lower than St. Thomas (STT). From SJU, you can take a commuter flight on the following airlines:

By flying into San Juan, you can take advantage of Spirit Air's lower fares, and Jet Blue service (Jet Blue flies into SJU but not STT).
